Methane is the main component of natural gas. CH4 is the scientific formula for Methane, which is comprised of one carbon atom bonded to four hydrogen atoms.
The ZWO Methane (CH4) filter, with an FWHM of 20nm, is used primarily for planetary imaging, especially gas giants like Jupiter. It can be used with most IR sensitive color and monochrome sensors.
This filter is a 1.25″(31.7mm) filter and comes with an inner filter thread . It is protected in a plastic case.
