The ZWO ASI533MM Monochrome Planetary Camera uses the IMX533 back-illuminated CMOS image sensor, which uses Sony STARVIS technology for zero amp glow, lower dark current noise, high dynamic range, and a large full well capacity. This camera is suitable for astrophotography!
The Sony IMX533 has 3008 x 3008 resolution and a pixel size of 3.76um. The IMX533 has a diagonal size of 1", with approximately 9.04M effective pixels. This sensor has read noise as low as1.0e, and a full well capacity of 50ke. The compact camera body is equipped with a USB3.0 transmission interface, built in 256M DDR3 memory, as well as an ST4 Port so you can attach an auto guider to your set-up.
