Highlights of the Unistellar eVscope 2 Smart Telescope with Electronic Eyepiece & Backpack

*This version of the eVscope comes with the customized backpack!  Carry your eVscope around in style, protect it when not in use, and strap your tripod to the side.  A great accessory for the Unistellar eVscope 2!

*No advanced training is required to begin your eVscope outer space adventure. Novices and pros alike can grow their space discoveries and science skills, using one powerful, portable smart device.

*The eVscope 2 comes with a Nikon electronic eyepiece for a stunning visual experience unlike anything you've ever seen before!

*100x more powerful than a regular telescope, the eVscope 2 sports technology that allows a live observation of faint objects on your smartphone or tablet thanks to the live accumulation of the light we receive from galaxies, nebulae, star clusters and more.

*The Unistellar eVscope system instantly recognizes Bcelestial objects in its field of view by comparing what it sees with a coordinates database of tens of millions of stars.

*With the push of a button and tap of the Unistellar eVscope app, your telescope recommends the most spectacular targets and launches into deep-space observations in minutes.

*Participate in Citizen Science! The Unistellar Network is the first global community of citizen astronomers, 5,000 strong and counting.

A defining feature of the Unistellar eVscope 2 is the electronic eyepiece developed by Nikon.  The combination of a best-in-class micro OLED screen designed to enhance contrast and deliver a perfect black image, and a sophisticated array of lenses, sourced from Nikon’s expert optical labs, produces a captivating, immersive observation experience with rich contrast, better observing comfort and excellent eye-relief.

Enhanced Vision is a patented proprietary technology that allows a live observation of faint objects thanks to the live accumulation of the light we receive from them. Galaxies, nebulae and comets finally become visible, colorful and detailed.

Depending on observing conditions (light pollution, moon phase, weather, etc
) and the objects you are pointing, it only takes a few seconds for you to start seeing the beautiful colors and shapes of galaxies and nebulae normally invisible, even through the eyepiece of a large conventional telescope.

The UniStellar eVscope 2 ensures more time exploring space and less time setting up or calibrating. Our system instantly recognizes the objects in its field of view by comparing what it sees with a coordinates database of tens of millions of stars.  Called Autonomous Field Detection, this thrilling feature allows the automated tracking and pointing system of the eVscope to be extremely accurate and easy to use, making it by far the most user-friendly telescope on the market. Autonomous Field Detection also allows it to inform you about what you are observing (distance from the Earth, etc.).

With a catalogue of over 5,000 objects to choose from, use the app to learn about and identify cosmic objects, including which objects are ideal for viewing from your location. Save and share your experience with others – in person or virtually – with your connected tech.

The Unistellar app provides captivating educational content and automates your observing experience, so that novices can enjoy their device right away. The app also offers manual controls for advanced users.

The presence of excessive and unwanted artificial lighting, known as light pollution, can render celestial objects invisible to the human eye. Even cameras and computers are challenged by excessive light pollution as it blurs objects, distorts shapes and adds "noise" to pictures.

Unistellar's proprietary software swiftly mitigates the impact of light pollution with their Smart Light Pollution Reduction feature and allows for distant objects to be observed in crisp detail, even from bright inner-city environments, delivering the best possible image parameters and results. Users benefit from more precise images with better contrasts and colors, regardless of the level of brightness of the sky.

By partnering up with astronomers from the SETI Institute and other institutions, Unistellar Explorers can conduct valuable space science such as protecting Earth by detecting a hazardous asteroid, discovering and confirming the existence of a hot Jupiter around a distant star, or even uncovering the mysteries of a comet or supernova.

As part of the Unistellar Network - the first global community of 5000+ connected telescope users - you'll get to exchange information with professional astronomers and learn from their observations.

About the Backpack!

This beautiful, sturdy backpack is designed to carry the Unistellar eVscope smart telescope. The telescope's tripod slides into a holder on the exterior of the backpack, for hands-free transport to your favorite observing site, whether it be your backyard or a dark sky location.

The Unistellar backpack has built-in foam inserts that will hug your eVscope securely, and an internal fastening strap further protects the telescope to keep it from moving around as you walk or hike. A removable rain shield is included to protect the case from rain or super humid conditions.

Since this is a backpack, a lot of thought went into the user's comfort as well. The back is ventilated so you don't get hot and sticky. Padded adjustable shoulder straps are comfortable to wear and a padded hip belt, which is also adjustable, is available to help distribute the load.

Finally, there are extra pockets on the inside and outside to hold accessories and other essentials. Two large zipped pockets are located on the outside, and there is a zipped pocket to hold the hip belt safely out of the way when you don't need it. There are also 5 small internal pockets! Two are made to hold the telescope cap and eyepiece lid while observing, and the extras could hold your smartphone or other small items.
