The Starfield GEAR 115 f/7 Triplet APO Refractor Gen II will take your wide field imaging game to new levels. Collect more light compared to 102mm telescopes and gain high magnification with an f/7 focal length. Using Fully Multi-Coated ED glass and internal baffles, you'll experience sharp stars and amazing contrast.
The 2025 edition of the G115 includes a larger 3.7" focuser and a redesigned handle with Losmandy-style dovetail that works great for easy transport and attachment to a mount as well as piggybacking astronomical accessories.
The StarField GΓAR series comes with a retractable dew shield, an optical report, heavy duty CNC rings, a Losmandy style dovetail, a multifunctional handle designed to mount optional accessories, and a soft case with die-cut foam.
A 3.7" Rack and Pinion two speed focuser with ball bearings is standard on the Gear 115 mm f/7 Triplet. It comes with a Camera Angle Adjuster (CAA) with self-centering rotational lock (no set screws to come loose), accepts 63 mm accessories and supports the use of both 1.25" and 2" eyepieces and accessories as well.
The included camera angle rotator will be much appreciated as it will let you frame up your object easily without adding flex or changing your focuser position, and the focuser itself can be fitted with an optional focus motor if you'd desire a bit more control.
Weighing in at just 15 pounds, the Gear 115 mm can be easily be used on a mount with a payload capacity of 30 pounds; making your whole set up reasonably portable.
A 0.8x adjustable reducer and 1.0x Flattener are available separately, and the 115 Gear Series Gen II scope comes with an adapter to connect them to the larger 3.7" focuser.
