StarField Coma Corrector for f/3 - f/6 Newtonians - SF-CM-01

Newtonians inherit an optical distortion called Coma, where stars at the corners appear not round, but in more of a tadpole shape. The Starfield 2" Coma Corrector will provide a flat field image when used with a Newtonian telescope with a focal ratio of f/3 to f/6. The large 2" corrector will provide a wide field of illumination for even full frame DSLR's without vignetting.

The Starfield Coma Corrector is not just for imaging; it will significantly enhance your visual experience as well, providing a coma-free view with sharp, pinpoint stars. The 2" nosepiece features a recessed safety groove and is threaded to accept standard 2" filters.

• A 3-piece modular design includes optics in 2" nosepiece with 48mm male filter thread, a 2" eyepiece barrel (20mm) that attaches to the optical nosepiece, and an M48 - T2 adapter ring
• Backfocus spacing requirement is approximately 70mm +/- 5mm from the shoulder of the 2" nosepiece to the image plane
• For visual use, connect the 2" eyepiece barrel to the main optical nosepiece
• For photo use, unscrew the 2" eyepiece barrel and attach the included M48-T2 ring to the main optical nosepiece, then attach your DSLR camera to the male T2 thread via a camera-specific T-ring (not included)
