The Meade #929 2.00" mirror diagonal, provided as standard equipment on 12.0" and 16.0" LX200s and available optionally on other models, attaches to the rear cell of all Meade LX-series telescopes and permits the use of wide field 2.00" eyepieces. Each diagonal includes a Meade optical-flat mirror of Pyrex glass, UHTC-coated for maximum reflectivity. A 90° star diagonal, the term commonly associated with a mirror-based device such as this, renders images which are upright but laterally reversed. This is brighter than devices which render images both upright and laterally correct-particularly important when you're trying to squeeze the last bit of magnification out of your telescope.
The #929 will not interface with Meade electronic focusers; select the #930 for this task instead.
The #929 diagonal includes an adapter to reduce the size of the eyepiece barrel so that conventional 1.25" eyepieces can also be used.
