This is a Lunt Solar Systems Internal Double Stack Module For LS130THa, a Filter for the Hydrogen Alpha (Ha) emission band to view/image details on our Sun. This Internal Double Stack Module from Lunt Solar can be added to an existing LS130THa Lunt Ha telescope. This product is compatible with the LS130MT Modular Telescope as well as the existing LS152THa from Lunt Solar.

This Lunt Solar 130 mm Ha Solar Double Stack Module is equipped with Lunt's True Doppler Tuning via a pressure tuning method. This is a solar Ha band tuning technique using air pressure changes within the chamber containing the Internal Etalon Ha Filter. True Doppler Tuning allows for a Doppler shift into and away from the user which adds a 3D-like component to the viewing experience. While it has minimal effect on prominences due to their location at the edge of the disk, it does have an effect on filaments and active regions on the surface facing us, not at the edge.
While looking at a filament at the center of the Sun, the user has the ability to Doppler shift from the base of the filament to the tip, following the filament through it’s structure toward you and away from you, allowing for enhanced visual and imaging capability for the observer as well as a research tool for the avid hobbyist. The pressure tuning system provides an order of magnitude more precision to the tuning of these desired Ha image features than is possible with a tilting etalon filter system.
