iOptron HAE29CEC Strain Wave AZ/EQ Mount
with Internal Main Board, WiFi & HP Encoder
Includes Dual Saddle & Case - No iPolar or Hand Controller

The C versions of the HAE29 SWG Mounts include an internal main board, allowing the user to forego using the hand controller when operating the mount via a computer or other electronic device.  The addition of an internal main board moves the connection ports from the hand controller to the mount itself.  Other than that change, the body design and specifications are the same as other HAE29 mounts.

Imagine the versatility of an astronomy mount that works in both alt-azimuth and equatorial mode without the need for cumbersome counterweights or a counterweight shaft!  The iOptron SWG, or Strain Wave Gear HAE mounts do just that, and at a mount to payload efficiency that is astounding!

This iOptron HAE29C model has a weight capacity of 29.7 pounds yet weighs only 8 pounds.  Strain wave gear technology for both RA and DEC movements will offer great performance for many years.  The mount head is CNC machined from all metal and has been black anodized to create a smooth, beautifully finished surface.  The HAE29C AZ/EQ mounts include an electronic friction brake that will stop the mount safely during any power interruption.

The HAE29CEC features a high precision RA axis encoder that delivers incredible tracking accuracy, enough that many will choose to image “sans” guiding.

Control your HAE SWG strainwave mount directly from the mount with your computer via ASCOM/Commander for a PC or a third party INDI driver for Mac.  You can also choose to use a smartphone or tablet with Commander Lite from iOptron or the popular SkySafari.  Finally, a Raspberry device via an INDI driver will work as well!
