The iOptron CEM40G mount is the next generation of Center-Balanced Equatorial Go-To mounts, and this model from iOptron includes an iGuider Guiding Camera as well as a LiteRoc tripod with 1.75" diameter legs and a hard case to store the mount. The CEM40G is incredibly eye-pleasing, and its amazing performance complements its beautiful appearance! The functionality of the mount is superb. Weighing only 17.5 pounds, this mount can support a payload of up to 40 pounds! This iOptron CEM40G Center-Balance Go-To Equatorial Mount also has an integrated electronic polar finder scope known as the iPolar. This tool ensures the accurate alignment of a telescope, even when the pole star is obscured. This iPolar polarscope introduced by iOptron is available as a separate product, but is included and integrated in this mount. This model also includes the iOptron iGuider electronic Guiding Camera as well to make your imaging tasks even easier. The iGuider consists of a 30 mm f/4 lens and a 1/4" CCD camera with 3.75 um pixels. The lens and sensor are all nicely and unobtrusively tucked away in the mount saddle.
The large levers on the quick-lock drive engagement system make it easy to snap the gears into place or release them. This iOptron CEM40G mount includes a dual saddle plate that accommodates both Losmandy-type and Vixen-style dovetail plates. The CEM40G also uses iOptron's ultra-quiet, low-power consumption stepper motor drive system, which means you will get precise tracking with very quiet operation.
The iOptron CEM40G mount uses the Go2Nova® 8407 hand controller to navigate the night sky. This incredible technology helps you find celestial objects with the aid of the mount's 212,000+ object database! Whether you are a newbie to astronomy or a seasoned observer, this mount has the capability of tracking and finding many beautiful night sky objects, and its simple operation will save you lots of time.
