The Pegasus Astro Indigo Filter Wheel offers a range of cutting-edge features to enhance your astrophotography and astronomical observations. With its robust build quality and compatibility with 7 position 2-inch mounted or 50mm unmounted filters, the Indigo Filter Wheel provides versatility and convenience.

Its integrated stepper motor technology and optical encoders allows for precise filter positioning, and it’s designed to work seamlessly with popular astrophotography software for remote operation.

One Cable Operation

Indigo Filter Wheel exclusively utilizes a USB2 (Type B) cable, streamlining connectivity by eliminating the need for a separate power supply when employing USB control. This elegant design choice not only simplifies the setup process but also enhances overall convenience for users.

Thin Design

The Indigo Filter Wheel features a precision CNC-machined aluminum body, engineered from high-quality aluminum alloy to achieve an exceptionally slim profile without compromising strength or rigidity.

Ultra-thin design: Just 19.0 mm thick, or 19.6 mm with adapters installed on both sides.

Orientation on Both Adapters

Both sides of the filter wheel have M54 openings. The screw slide adapter (image below) allows you to properly allign the orientation of your camera or telescope side. Just untie the screws and rotate the adapter to the desired orientation.

Accurate Filter Selection

The carousel has seven (7) slots and accepts 2-inch mounted or 50mm unmounted filters. (Max filter diameter should be 50.8mm)

Filter Wheel rotates clock or counterclockwise direction for filter selection. A combination of a direct drive stepper motor and optical encoders ensures that your filter selection is precise, and deadly accurate on every filter location.

The wheel employs a shortest-path algorithm, ensuring the most efficient and optimal filter changes with minimal movement.

Camera Connection

The camera side allows direct connection with astronomical cameras that follow:

• 6 x hole pattern (62mm diameter pattern) – can accept M3 or M2.5 screws.
• 4 x hole pattern for PlayerOne cameras.
• M42 male / 0.75mm pitch.

About the Optolong LRGB 2" Mounted Filter Set, Included in this Package:

The Optolong LRGB filter set is designed for maximum contrast and with extremely high gradients for clear differentiation of colors. The LRGB filter set divides the spectrum into its components red, green, blue and luminance. 

OIII emission overlaps on blue and green filters with maximum transmission to allow high efficiency and natural color imaging. The gap between green and red filters serves to block out the primary Sodium light pollution line at 589nm and improves color balance and separation.
