A 90 mm aperture that sees more

The deeper the sky, the more aperture matters. As aperture increases, the diffraction-limited angular resolution gets smaller, revealing finer deep-sky detail. Faint structures, fine textures and subtle layers hidden in the dark โ€” Draco's 90 mm telephoto optics gather the light needed to reveal what smaller systems can miss.

Draco 90mm aperture

One telescope. Two stories from that night.

Draco captures the universe at two scales, simultaneously.

1/1.55โ€ณ wide-angle camera

A large, high-sensitivity sensor at 23.3 mm equivalent focal length. D 85.74ยฐ / H 73.20ยฐ / V 58.23ยฐ ultra-wide field of view โ€” made for the Milky Way, star trails and sweeping nightscapes.

1/1.3โ€ณ telephoto camera

1200 mm equivalent focal length, 50 MP resolution, 2ร—2 pixel binning. The same sensor serves multiple imaging modes.

Draco dual camera system

The same sensor. Multiple imaging modes.

Deep sky โ€” 2.4 ยตm equivalent pixels

With 2ร—2 pixel binning, Draco combines four adjacent 1.2 ยตm native pixels into one 2.4 ยตm effective pixel, producing roughly 12 MP images. Greater signal collection improves the signal-to-noise ratio of faint targets, revealing cleaner nebulae, galaxies and shadow detail.

Sun, Moon and planets โ€” 1.2 ยตm native pixels

Native 1ร—1 pixel readout with intelligent cropping around the target. Finer sampling captures lunar craters, sunspots, Saturn's rings and Jupiter's Great Red Spot.

Let time bring out the details

300-second single-frame exposures, rock steady. With built-in guiding, physical field derotation and a precision drive system, Draco corrects tracking errors and minimises field rotation, keeping stars tight and sharp throughout single-frame exposures of up to 300 seconds.

Built-in guide scope

Continuously monitors star drift and corrects tracking errors in real time, keeping stars sharp and preventing star trails.

Field rotation correction

The CMOS rotates with the sky to physically counter field rotation, delivering clean images without complex polar alignment.

Precision track system

High-precision transmission and fine microstepping control keep every correction stable and responsive, reducing vibration and backlash so stars stay tight during long exposures.

Draco 300 second exposure

Made for the finest images yet

A 90 mm aperture defines the physical ceiling of image quality. Draco uses an aberration-corrected optical system to precisely correct light deviation deep within the lens set, so stars stay pin-sharp from the centre of the frame to the edge.

A more advanced filter system

Draco's dual cameras feature multiple built-in filters for deep-sky imaging, the Milky Way, star trails, the Sun and Moon, everyday photography and more.

Astronomy filter

Preserves a broader range of useful starlight, well suited to deep-sky targets such as galaxies and star clusters.

Upgraded Hฮฑโ€‰+โ€‰O III dual-narrowband

Targets Hฮฑ at 658 nm and O III at 503 nm, both channels narrowed to a 13 ยฑ 3 nm bandpass. The narrower bandpass isolates nebula emission more precisely and reduces unwanted background light.

SHO or Standard. Choose your Draco.

Both editions share the same Hฮฑโ€‰+โ€‰O III dual-narrowband filter and Astronomy filter. The SHO Edition adds a built-in S IIโ€‰+โ€‰O III dual-narrowband filter, targeting S II at 674 nm and O III at 503 nm at the same 13 ยฑ 3 nm bandpass. The two narrowband filters work automatically in sequence to capture real S II, Hฮฑ and O III data โ€” Draco then handles separation, colour mapping and composition automatically, producing classic blue-and-gold Hubble Palette images with one tap. The SHO Edition includes an external ND filter for solar imaging; the Standard Edition has the ND filter built in.

Steady support in Equatorial Mode

Draco's all-metal base fits securely into its metal frame, forming a rigid, unified structure that stays stable in Equatorial Mode. No additional equatorial mount is required โ€” follow the in-app guidance to set the correct angle for greater stability during long exposures and multi-frame stacking.

Draco equatorial mode

Included aluminium-alloy tripod

Aluminium platform, connectors and legs for reliable support without unnecessary weight, with TPR feet for grip. Approximately 480 g, 175 mm deployed height, 470 mm footprint diameter, and a folded size of just 80 ร— 80 ร— 268 mm. An 80 mm top platform with a 3/8โ€ณ-16 mounting thread provides a secure connection, and the fixed-length legs open to a preset angle for quick setup.

DWARFLAB App โ€” the power behind every touch

Tap your phone and NFC brings the app to life instantly. The app connects automatically, adapts to your environment, guides the capture, and carries the image all the way through processing.

Wide-angle Sky Finder

AR Sky Finder aligns Draco with the sky and shows environmental obstructions at a glance. See what is visible and choose with confidence.

Real-time star atlas

Search freely, or let Today's Recommendations surface targets based on the best observing windows. Custom Favorites let you plan an observing list in advance.

Set it down. Tap GoTo.

Autofocus, calibration, target acquisition, tracking and stacking are all handled automatically, with built-in guiding keeping 300-second exposures steady.

Auto Mode or Pro Mode

Auto Mode adjusts settings intelligently for each target. Pro Mode gives full control over exposure, gain and filters, with exposures from 1/10000 s to 300 s.

Calibration handled automatically

Built-in flat and bias calibration data, with dark frames captured in real time. Calibration is applied during live stacking to reduce thermal noise, vignetting, dust shadows and read noise.

Stellar Studio

Auto enhancement, star correction, noise reduction, star reduction, star removal, star extraction, star spikes, watermarks and Hubble Palette effect โ€” no desktop software required.

Prefer your own workflow?

Draco gives you the data too. Export in JPG, PNG, FITS and TIFF. JPG and PNG make sharing quick, while FITS and TIFF fully preserve the underlying image data for advanced post-processing.

Advanced imaging, beyond the usual limits

Remote control โ€” PhotonLink

Deploy Draco where observing conditions are better and control it from anywhere through the app, or invite friends to control it with you. Remotely switch the dark-frame cover, filters and imaging settings with no on-site operation.

USB Ethernet connectivity

Connect to wired Ethernet via USB for greater connection stability and more efficient data transfer โ€” better suited to long-term remote deployment. Ethernet ready, USB 3.0, switchable built-in filters.

Schedule shooting

When you cannot stay up, Draco can. Set the target, time and parameters in the app, and Draco wakes, finds, tracks and captures automatically.

Astro Mosaic

Extend the frame in the star map and Draco automatically captures and stitches multiple sections into a wider deep-sky image โ€” up to 1.8ร— in both width and height, roughly 3ร— the field of view overall.

Multi-night mega stacking

Restack data from multiple sessions to extend effective exposure and gradually improve signal and detail. Recombine data captured with different settings or filters, and reject weak frames before restacking.

Star Party

Shoot the same target with friends or users worldwide. Share progress, combine data with CoStack, or create larger deep-sky mosaics with CoMosaic.

Solar System Mode

Automatically centre, focus and lock onto the Sun or Moon with one tap โ€” sunspots, lunar detail, or a solar or lunar eclipse. On the Standard Edition, switch the built-in ND filter into place with one tap in the app. On the SHO Edition, attach the included external magnetic ND filter and Draco handles the rest.
