This is a William Optics ZenithStar 61 f/5.9 Doublet APO Telescope OTA designed for use as a short-tube, fast f/ratio, APO imaging telescope Optical Tube Assembly which can be used for either visual observing or astro-imaging work depending upon your needs. It is a very lightweight and portable telescope OTA which is great for travel by any methods including flying. This is a great telescope OTA to use with either full-frame or APS-C type detector imagers, including the Canon EF, Nikon F, Sony E, Pentax, Micro 4/3 types, or Fuji FX cameras.

This William Optics ZenithStar 61 f/5.9 Doublet APO OTA weighs in at only 2.2 kg (or only 4.85 pounds), and the OTA is only 245 mm (9.65 inches) long when the dew shield has been retracted. It has a fast f/5.9 optical system based upon a doublet objective which uses FPL-53 glass to provide APO color correction and high resolution performance in a short focal length system OTA.

This model of the ZenithStar 61 mm f/5.9 Doublet APO OTA from William Optics is provided in a Gold color finish. It includes a smooth and stable-operating 2" Rack & Pinion Focuser with a Two-speed 10:1 Fine Focusing control. It also includes the WO Cat Handle Bar with a Vixen style Saddle, the WO Bahtinov Mask Dust Cover, and a newly designed, stronger Clamshell ring with a built-in Dovetail plate. This ZenithStar 61 mm f/5.9 Doublet APO OTA is ready to mount on your own tripod or astro-mount, and use with your existing eyepieces and star diagonal, or your camera equipment if you will do astro-imaging.

NOTE: This product is an OTA only, and does NOT include any Finder, eyepiece, diagonal, guide scope, or field flattener. William Optics recommends their Flat61A or their Flat61R Field Flattener optics for use with this telescope, for those doing astro-imaging.
