This set of eight (8) filter shims can be used in the slots of the Snowflake 50 mm Filter Wheel when the customer's filters are thinner than 2.5 mm.
Since the filter slot depth of the SFW50 and SFW50S filter wheels is 2.5 mm, certain 50 mm unmounted filters with a thickness less than 2.5 mm cannot be properly seated. The filter shim ring is used to increase the effective thickness, ensuring accurate positioning and stable installation of the filter.
