The L filter acts as a red-ultraviolet cut-off filter, passing visible light between 420nm-685nm with a high transmittance of 98%, enhancing the target contrast.

The R filter allows passage of red light from 590nm-700nm while maintaining maximum transmission of H-Alpha and [SII] emissions.

The G filter allows passage of light from 490nm-580nm, which is the first to cut off the emission lines of mercury, sodium, etc. near this spectrum.

The B filter allows the transmission of light in the 400nm-510nm band, which is more targeted at targets containing 486nm H-Beta rays (such as the Horsehead Nebula).
