This Starlight Innovation Star-Chair IV is specifically designed to provide secure and comfortable seating for astronomical observations as well as other optical tasks. It can be used for astronomy observing, or with spotting scopes or binoculars for birding, nature watching, etc. This folding chair can support up to 250 pounds (113.4 kg) of weight and features a 14" x 8.5" seat. The seat provides a nice 10" - 48" adjustable height (extra tall) and a 1" thick foam pad cushion for comfortable viewing. It is made from 13-ply Baltic birch plywood and Canadian ash wood, and is treated with three layers of water-based lacquer. The chair's two legs are retained together with a secure wood bar to prevent a dangerous or accidental overextension of the legs.

This Starlight Innovation Star-Chair IV is ideally suited for those astronomy applications where extra height for the observer is desired, such as with Dobsonian telescopes or longer Newtonian tubes. Note: Starlight Innovation recommends their optional footrest with this chair when the higher seat positions are used, to provide more comfortable seating for the observer.

NOTE: The photo shows this chair with the optional 2" thickness yellow seat cushion, for illustration purposes. It is normally supplied with a 1" thick foam black cushion as standard.

The SC1V Star-Chair IV from Starlight Innovation can be quickly adjusted for the desired height, and as quickly folded up and transported after use. The Star-Chair IV weighs only 18 lb (8.16 kg) so transporting it to and from your observing sites is easy. When folded, it takes up little space in a vehicle. The Starlight Innovation SCIV Star-Chair IV normally comes with a black color foam seat cushion (1" thick), but there are 5 other optional colors of seat cushion which can be provided when the request is made at the time of ordering this chair. You will truly appreciate this Star-Chair when using it with your telescope or binoculars for any and all astronomy or nature viewing applications.

NOTE: This Star-Chair IV ships in two boxes: 1- 5"x12"x60" weighs approx. 15 lb; 1- 4"x15"x15" weighs approx. 3 lb.
