Sky Mentor 5 Piece Accessory Kit for Seestar S30 - TA640

This five (5) piece accessory kit is designed for the ZWO Seestar S30 Smart Telescope.  All of the accessories are metal, unlike cheaper 3D printer items made out of plastic.  Remember to remove all accessories (except for the dust cap) before you allow the S30 to close.

• All five items come in a plastic case with cushioned interior

Metal Dust Cap - Even though the arm folds down on the S30 to tuck the optics away when the telescope is not in use, dust can still make its way onto the objective lens.  This  dust cap fits over the optics for added protection, and its nice to use it when you step away from the telescope to get a cup of coffee, just be stay on the safe side and keep your Seestar S30 optics clean!

Metal 1.25" Dew Shield - This little 1.25" dew shield will not only assist the electronics in the S30 to keep dew away, it will also block stray light, which is a real contrast killer.  The dew shield has 28.5mm*0.6mm threads on the front to allow attachment of 1.25" filters as well as the Bahtinov or Spike mask.

Metal 1.25" Filter Holder - This filter adapter is magnetic, so after you have threaded on a 1.25" filter, it connects easily to the front of the S30.

Metal 1.25" Bahtinov Mask - A Bahtinov mask is an easy way to achieve better focus than your eyes alone can.  It works by projecting a light pattern onto the object you are trying to focus on. The specific arrangement of the slots creates an "X" shaped pattern which shifts as the object comes into focus. By observing how this pattern changes, users can achieve accurate focusing in much less time than with traditional methods.  The S30 Bahtinov Mask has 1.25" threads so it can be attached to the filter adapter or dew shield.

Metal 1.25" Spike Mask - This mask mimics a diffraction star pattern and will assist you in achieving sharp focus.  Just point the S30 on a bright star and focus.  Like the Bahtinov mask, the Diffraction Spike Mask is made of metal and has 1.25" threads to connect it to the filter adapter or dew shield.  Play around with both masks and see which one you like better as diffraction spike masks create a more basic pattern in comparison to the Bahtinov, which can be used for more sensitive focusing applications.
