iOptron SkyGuider Pro Camera Mount
With iPolar PolarScope
The SkyGuider Pro is iOptronās next generation camera tracking mount! iOptron has been in the forefront of the camera tracker market for nearly four years, but now, iOptron's SkyGuider Pro pushes performance to near perfection.
The redesigned SkyGuider Pro mount head is more compact, small enough to fit on your palm, has better precision, with silent tracking, has a built-in rechargeable power source, plus it has a ST-4 guiding port and camera trigger port. The improved precision polar scope maintains a fine engraved reticle, now features adjustable illumination with different brightness levels. The iOS app provides you with quick and accurate polar alignment operation and it is just easy to use. The DEC mounting bracket allows you to balance a heavy camera and/or lens better, or even mount a light telescope. The optional 8408 hand controller (which is NOT included) will allow you to check the Pole Star position for the polar alignment, slew the mount, adjust the guiding rate, change the mount settings and control the camera trigger. This Optional Purchase 8408 hand controller is highly recommended for its features!
NOTE: Tripod is NOT Included; Ball Head NOT Included; Camera NOT included. These are shown for illustration purposes, only.
This iOptron SkyGuider Pro Camera Mount With iPolar PolarScope has an integrated electronic polar finder scope known as the iPolar. This tool ensures the accurate alignment of a telescope, even when the pole star is obscured! There are large levers on the quick-lock drive engagement system; these large levers make it easy to snap the gears into place. The SkyGuider Pro features four tracking rates, 1X or sidereal, 1/2X for sky and landscape combined, solar rate, and lunar rate. All 4 tracking rates work in both northern and southern hemispheres. There is also a quick slew mode with both forward and reverse to help quickly reframing your image without disrupting the camera's position.
iOptron has improved the SkyGuider Proās removable alt-azimuth base, which features a precision bubble level, degree markings for the altitude and a built in post for the azimuth control. You can also choose to mount the SkyGuider Pro head (without the base) directly to any standard photographic tripod with 1/4ā or 3/8ā threads.
The DEC mounting bracket package, which is included with this mount, includes DEC mounting bracket, counterweight shaft, counterweight and Vixen-type dovetail saddle, and this mechanism when installed makes the SkyGuideTM Pro mount suitable for a heavier camera/lens system, even a lightweight telescope. The SkyGuider Pro is an amazing tool for any photographer who is interested in doing astroscape or wide field astrophotography. Once you use the iOptron SkyGuider Pro Camera Mount With iPolar for your first photo application, you will appreciate its design and features and it will become a standard tool for all your astroscape or wide field astrophotography.
