TeleVue 2" Everbrite 90° Star Diagonal Package

This is a package product consisting of the TeleVue 2" Everbrite 90° Dielectric Star Diagonal and also the TeleVue 2" to 1.25" HiHat barrel adapter, both of which are finished in Satin Black. Whiter and brighter images are the benefit of the Everbrite mirror coating incorporated into the TeleVue 2" Everbrite Dielectric Diagonal. This exotic, dielectric (nonmetallic) coating is 99 percent reflective across the full visual spectrum, resulting in the whitest, most natural image available in a TeleVue Star Diagonal. The coating is painstakingly applied to Pyrex having a surface flatness accuracy of 1/10 of a wave.

The TeleVue 2" Everbrite Dielectric Star Diagonal body is machined from a solid block of aluminum (including the barrels). In this way Televue can insure permanent alignment of the mirror to the barrels. The one piece body construction also assures heavy TeleVue Telescope Eyepiece and TeleVue Telescope Accessories can't force the diagonal body to unscrew from the barrel as with other brands. This 2-inch model features a brass clamp ring, anti-reflection threads, and 48 mm filter threads.

If you've ever had the experience of fumbling in the dark while moving your filter from one eyepiece to another, you will especially appreciate the convenience of the 48 mm filter threads cut into the body of the TeleVue 2" Everbrite 90° Star Diagonal. Use one filter in this Diagonal and change eyepieces at will! A captive eyepiece lock-screw adds the finishing touch.

This package also includes a TeleVue 2" to 1.25" HiHat barrel adapter, so you can easily switch between your favorite 2" and 1.25" barrel eyepieces. This provides many options for astronomical viewing, depending on what set of eyepieces you may own.
