The Celestron Ultima Edge 24 mm has a generous 65° field of view, perfect for viewing planets, nebulae, and many other celestial wonders. This eyepiece provides low-power magnification, perfect for those observations when you want to see a larger FOV than with the shorter focal length E.P. See "the whole picture" with Ultima Edge eyepieces from Celestron. These flat-field eyepieces were designed to provide an ultra-sharp, ultra-clear, crisp image from the center all the way to the edge of the field of view. The 24 mm Ultima Edge eyepiece features fully multi-coated optics and an 8-element lens design, providing you with the optimum light transmission.
The Celestron Ultima Edge 24 mm Flat Field 1.25" Eyepiece uses a main housing which is machined from high grade aluminum with a black anodized outer surface. Its 1.25" mounting barrel is internally threaded to accept standard 1.25" filters and adapters. It is compatible with most 1.25” star diagonals and focusers. On the exterior, Celestron has included a uniquely designed, molded rubber Grip Ring for non-slip handling during observing sessions, even if you wearing gloves in colder weather. Observing with the 24 mm Ultima Edge eyepiece is comfortable for both eyeglass wearers and non-eyeglass wearers, because of the inclusion of a convenient fold-down rubber Eyecups and also the very long 29 mm eye relief.
NOTE: The Ultima Edge 24 mm eyepiece is Not parfocal with the rest of the models in this Ultima Edge line.
