Achieve fast, reliable precision focus with the Pegasus Astro FocusCube Zero! The customized bracket included with the FocusCube Zero assures connection to most 11" Celestron SCT, EdgeHD and RASA telescopes.
The high torque motor can lift up to 6kg even when pointing to zenith, and you'll enjoy a system with low backlash for precise focus v-curves.
This WiFi-enabled electronic focuser offers hotspot and wireless 2.4GHz client support as well as USB connectivity. Finally, the FocusCube Zero offers web browser access allowing you to control focus on any device, making it OS-independent.
A digital temperature sensor is included with the FocusCube Zero system to allow monitoring of ambient temperatures in and around the focuser.
There are three (3) versions of the FocusCube Zero for Celestron SCT, EdgeHD & RASA Telescopes. The difference is in the metal pulley bore diameter and screw length, so make sure you pick the right one:
- 6" 8" & 9.25 Celestron SCT, EdgeHD or RASA 8 (PEG-FCZERO-SCT68925)
- 11" Celestron SCT, EdgeHD or RASA 11 V2; V1 requires the Celestron Retrofit Kit (PEG-FCZERO-SCT11)
- 14" Celestron SCT, EdgeHD or RASA (PEG-FCZERO-SCT14
Focus Cube Zero Features
SCT Bracket for Seamless Integration with Any Celestron SCT Telescope*: This well designed bracket allows you to attach the FocusCube Zero to most any Celestron SCT telescope.
*Please note that the SCT bracket is not compatible with some older telescopes, however, it has fit perfectly on Meade SCT's that have a round focus knob. If you have one of the above mentioned scopes, a little investigation would be in order before you make your purchase.
USB & WiFi Connection: The FocusCube Zero is WiFi enabled, which allows you to control or monitor focus from your Smartphone. A USB Type B cable is included.
High Res Stepper Motor: The FocusCube Zero has a meticulously designed motor system that keeps backlash at minimal values. The high-resolution geared stepper motor lifts and supports telescope equipment weighs up to 6 kg, even when the system is pointed at zenith.
V-Curve Autofocus: Achieve accurate and repeatable V-Curves with FocusCube Zero! This process is virtually hassle-free. Set up parameters and continue observing or imaging without manual adjustments.
Temperature Probe: A digital temperature sensor comes standard with the FocusCube Zero. It is an external sensor that can be placed near the focuser to monitor temperature of both the focuser and the environment surrounding it. Monitoring is real-time through the ASCOM driver or included software.
RJ12 Expansion Port: This port, which is located near the motor connector, can accept the included temperature sensor or the optional manual focus hand controller.
ASCOM & INDI Support: FocusCube Zero offers full support for ASCOM 6 and INDI frameworks, which means you will find a wide range of software and platform compatibility.
Pegasus Astro Unity Platform
Pegasus Astro has designed their Unity Platform to support all of their current and future products in one interface. Unity provides comprehensive, yet user-friendly control over all Pegasus devices. Additionally, their REST JSON API gives third-party software developers the ability to interact with Pegasus products for enhanced versatility and compatibility.
Full control of the FocusCube can be achieved through the Unity Platform, and different profile names can be used to identify with set-ups.
Firmware can be updated via a USB 2.0 connection using Windows (no Mac) upgrade software.
