ZWO ASI664MC High Sensitivity Color Planetary/Guide Camera

This CMOS planetary camera features the Sony IMX664 1/1.8" color sensor, with 2704*1536 (4.15MP) small, 2.9um pixels.  Sony includes Starvis 2 technology for outstanding image quality and performance.

The ZWO ASI664MC camera has a USB 3.0 interface and a built-in DDR3 cache of 256 MB.  This means you'll get smooth, stable data transmission at high speed!

Zero amp glow, or no-glow circuitry, is implemented directly at the hardware level.  No matter how high your gain value is or how long the exposure, you don't have to worry about annoying amp glow.

Check the charts and you'll see that this camera offers low readout noise with high dynamic range to improve signal-to-noise ratio.  The ASI664MC has a built-in HCG mode to effectively reduce readout noise while keeping the dynamic range equivalent to that at low gain, even when you are at high gain.  HCG is automatically turned on when you hit gain 252 or higher.  Peak QE is about 91%.

An AR-coated protective window further improves the cameras performance in UV and NIR wavelengths.  The window is 21 mm in diameter and 1.1 mm thick.  

It is easy to connect your ASI664MC to your telescope.  The included 1.25" T-mount threads into the camera, which is inserted into the focuser or adapter.  An optional 1.25" filter can be added to the threaded barrel of the T-mount if so desired.

The ASI664MC also makes a nice guide camera!  There is a port for an ST4 cable (included) on the side of the camera (along with a USB 2.0/3.0 port).  The other end of the cable will connect to a multitude of computerized equatorial mounts via their guider port.
