ZWO Anti-Dew Heater Strip for ASI Cooled Cameras - ANTI-DEW

The ZWO anti-dew heater strip is applied to the front window of an ASI cooled cameras.  Please note that many ASI cameras do not require a stand-alone anti-dew heater since they already have one built into the camera.  

For instance, ASI071MC-P, ASI6200, ASI2600 and ASI2400 cameras come with an anti-dew heater that will heat the protective glass to avoid any dew problems, and with ASI183, ASI1600, ASI294, and ASI533 cameras, the heat emitting from the TEC is conducted to the camera exterior to avoid any dew problems when TEC cooling system is working.

This dew fighting accessory includes the anti-dew heater strip, a Y power cord and a sturdy cable tie.

The anti-dew strip has a thickness of 0.2 - 0.3 mm.

The Y power cord is designed to connect in-line with the cooler power supply.  It is recommended you use a DC adapter that will product 12V at 0.35A, resulting in a 4.2 watt +/- heating power for the dew strip.  You can use the same power cord for both the fan and the heater as long as you don't exceed the recommended amperage.

How to Install the Anti-Dew Heater on your ASI Cooled Camera:

1.  Tear off the protective film covering the heater...

2. Put the anti-dew heater strip on the front facing of the camera and make sure the black cable is in the right position (lining next to the DC plug at the rear end).  Be very careful with the heater and do not pull too hard where it connects to the black cable.

Note that this picture below shows the heating element laid on top of the camera without removing the 3M protective paper.  Yours will be fitted to the camera as shown in the photo above.

3. Tie the black cable with a zip tie to the camera body.

5.  Use the Y cable to plug the system in as shown below, and you are done.
