ZWO 850nm IR Pass Filter - 1.25" - 850IR125

This ZWO 1.25″ IR 850nm Pass Filter is suitable for monochrome or color IR sensitive cameras.  It allows infrared light with wavelengths of more than 850nm to pass, which helps improve results when imaging the Moon or planets, especially when seeing conditions aren't great or the object is near the horizon.  Also, because the IR 850nm Pass filter creates a dark background sky, you can more easily photograph the planets during daytime hours!

There's no need to de-bayer in order to get the full resolution of the camera's sensor when used with a Color camera such like ASI224MC or ASI185MC. 

You can also use a color camera as a monochrome camera by adding this 850nm IR filter, since the QE response of a OSC sensor beyond 850 nm doesn't change much. To get the correct results, remember to keep the WB_R and WB_B to 50 (no White Balance applied).  

This is a 1.25" mounted filter with a thickness of 1.9-2mm. It comes in a plastic protective case.
