 Tele-Vue Gibraltar series tripods are beautifully crafted of solid ash and made in America.  Leg extensions raise the tripod height from 3' to a full 5 feet, ideally sized for use with the TeleVue Air-Chair observing stool. Metal ground spikes with rubber tips are provided giving the mount rock solid stability on a variety of viewing surfaces.   The standard accessory tray ties the legs together for rigidity and vibration suppression.  The thicker wooden legs handle the weight of  the longer and heavier  3" and 4" Refractors with ease particularly when the scope is being used  for high power viewing or imaging.   The TeleVue yoke and cradle design offers balanced, smooth motions from the precise Alt-azimuth mount configuration, with an altitude range of +85deg to -10deg.
