This tool ensures the accurate alignment of a telescope, even when the pole star is obscured. This iPolar polarscope introduced by iOptron is available as a separate product, but is included and integrated in this mount. The large levers on the quick-lock drive engagement system make it easy to snap the gears into place or release them.
This iOptron CEM40 mount comes with a dual saddle that accommodates both Losmandy-type and Vixen-style dovetail plates. The CEM40 also uses iOptron's ultra-quiet, low-power consumption stepper motor drive system, which means you will get precise tracking with very quiet operation. This mount has the High-Resolution RA axis Encoder built in.
The iOptron CEM40 mount uses the Go2Nova® 8407 hand controller to navigate the night sky. This incredible technology helps you find celestial objects with the aid of the mount's 212,000+ object database! Whether you are a newbie to astronomy or a seasoned observer, this mount has the capability of tracking and finding many beautiful night sky objects, and its simple operation will save you lots of time. More time for observing!
