The Askar 52mm f/4.8 Super ED Guide Scope is a doublet that uses one piece of ED (extra low dispersion) glass in the optics to improve imaging quality, guiding accuracy, and color rendition. This high quality guide scope accepts either 1.25" or M42 imaging cameras or can be set up with optional accessories as a more traditional visual guide scope or finder with a diagonal and eyepiece on the back.
This Super ED Guide Scope comes in black or silver for the same price. This model is black. We realize the images have both colors in them, sorry about that!
An integrated helical focuser is easy to adjust, with a travel distance of 25 mm. The rotatable scope ring and base has 1/4" and M4 threaded holes underneath for easy attachment to a tripod, and the dovetail foot is suitable for universal finder slots found on a wide range of telescopes.

There are other differences besides the Super ED designation, but we are mentioning to hopefully limit confusion. Here is the link to the Askar 52mm F/4 Guide Scope, in case you are interested in comparing the two more fully.
