William Optics RedCat 61 f/4.9 Petzval Refractor - T-C-61RD

The William Optics RedCat 61 f/4.9 Petzval Refractor is a fast, portable quad refractor perfect for astrophotography. Its four elements are arranged in three groups, with FPL-53 glass used in the first group of two, followed by a single central element and a single rear lens that acts as a flattener. This quad optical system produces beautifully flat, high contrast images that are virtually free of chromatic aberration.

The RedCat 61 Petzval Refractor features the Patented WO center focuser with precise internal sliding of fixed optics to prevent image shift. The integrated position viewing window on the focuser provides instant verification of the graduated numerical display. The smooth rack and pinion design is incorporated into the focuser to provide super fine adjustability for critical focus.

The solid tube where accessories are attached has a rigid design and will not flex or exhibit any change in the optical path regardless of the weight of the camera and filter wheel attached to it. The field rotator allows for smooth camera rotation and is plainly marked in degrees for easy repeatability. A locking thumbscrew prevents accidental camera movement.

The RedCat 61 optical tube is made of aluminum and anodized. A matching dew shield is included, as is an aluminum lens cap. A Bahtinov focus mask and Saddle Bar are also part of this package. It is compatible with Canon EF & RF, Nikon F & Z, Sony E, Pentax K, Micro Four Thirds (M4/3) and Fuji X cameras.
