The result is a very flat, distortion-free field, excellent colour correction and high contrast, with almost no ghosting. A favourite with planetary, lunar and double-star observers.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe 44-degree apparent field is modest by modern standards, but the trade-off is outstanding sharpness and light transmission on axis. All glass surfaces are fully multi-coated.
