Stellarvue 15 mm Ultra Wide Angle 1.25" Eyepiece
This is the Stellarvue 15 mm Ultra Wide Angle 1.25" Eyepiece. This eyepiece is ideal for low power, wide field viewing on nebulae and star clusters since it is very sharp, contrasty, and has a generous 82 degree field of view. The 15 mm is ideal for using low power to acquire (find) planets, the Moon, and various deep sky objects, and for scanning the Milky Way. This eyepiece will do it while maintaining the high contrast that Stellarvue telescopes are known for.
An 82 degree field of view provides the user with almost 3 times the area of a 50 degree eyepiece. When using hand driven alt-azimuth mounts this generous field will be appreciated.
The eyepiece offers 12 mm of eye relief and has a standard foldable rubber eye cup. Each of the seven elements are fully multi-coated, edge blackened and the lens barrel and baffles are similarly dark black. All of these factors add up to create an extremely contrasty eyepiece that is free of unwanted reflections, flaring or ghosting. The high quality imagery of this Stellarvue 15 mm Ultra Wide Angle 1.25" eyepiece will be evident immediately the first time you use it on your refractor.
