Sky-Watcher 70mm White Light Solar Telescope on GPS-enabled HelioFind Solar Mount!
What an easy, quick, and safe way to view the Sun! The Sky-Watcher SolarQuest Solar Telescope has a 70mm aperture for bright, beautiful views of our own star, the Sun. It has an integrated white light solar filter, which means this is a dedicated solar telescope and mount system. The innovative HelioFind alt-azimuth mount couldn't be easier to set up and use. All you have to do is attach the telescope/mount package to the tripod, push a button and wait a minute or two for the SolarQuest mount to acquire a GPS lock on the Sun. When that happens the red light will stop blinking, letting you know that the Sun is in your telescope's field of view. Now all you have to do is insert the included 20mm eyepiece and enjoy sunspots as the change in size and shape.
The Skywatcher HelioFind mount runs on eight (8) AA batteries and has an 8-way switch that lets you make adjustments to the Sun's location in your eyepiece. The built-in GPS and 3-axis accelerator make the mount very accurate in automatically finding the Sun (as long as the clouds aren't too thick, of course).
