The Meade LX85 Series 8" ACF Telescope (OTA) uses their Advanced Coma-Free (ACF) optical design offering the coma-free pinpoint star images and flatter image fields while reducing astigmatism and also eliminates diffraction spikes. This telescope tube system features a 8" (203.2 mm) aperture, 2032 mm focal length, and f/10 focal ratio. Equipped with an internal single speed focuser and Ultra High Transmission Coatings (UHTC) for the improvement of brighter star clusters, more fine detail in nebulae, and greater surface features on planets.

It also includes both a 9.7 mm & 26 mm Plössl (1.25") Eyepieces and an 8x50 Optical Viewfinder Scope w/Crosshair along with a Vixen-style dovetail. With included accessories, the OTA weighs only 5.2 kg (11.5 lb) and has dimensions of 46 cm x 25 cm.
