The Meade LPI-G Camera & Guider Will Unleash the Astrophotographer in You!
The Meade LPI-G Monochrome Imager & Guider is an excellent camera for both auto-guiding and solar system astrophotography.
With this small, lightweight Meade solar, lunar and planetary guide camera, you will experience the universe on a whole new level. The Meade LPI-G comes with a 1280 x 960 CMOS AR 130 monochrome sensor with a pixel size of 3.75 microns square. The LPI-G can capture 28 frames per second at full resolution, and 30 fps at 640 x 480.
When you use the Meade LPI-G as an imaging camera, you'll be taking monochrome pictures of the Moon, planets, and Sun (with appropriate filters) in no time with the high-performance CMOS sensor!
The LPI-G also makes a great guide camera, and is compatible with a number of guiding and imaging programs such as Maxim DL, PHD, and FireCapture.
Accessories include a USB 2.0 and ST-4 guide cable, as well as a C-mount and a 1.25" nosepiece. The Meade LPI-G also includes the Meade Sky Capture software CD, which allows you to record and process video, do image capture and processing, and includes other features like dark field correction and image stitching (see minimum computer requirements below).
