Meade Bahtinov Focusing Mask lets you perform a precise focusing adjustment or check your focus in a quick, easy, and positive way. This Bahtinov Focusing Mask is compatible with all 8" telescope models.

Accurate focusing of your telescope is critical to performing astrophotography. A Bahtinov mask is used to focus your telescope with accuracy and very quickly to save you time. Point your scope at a bright star, track it, place the Bahtinov Focusing Mask on your objective and check your focus visually. The mask produces three separate angled diffraction spikes in the image plane. Adjust your focus until the middle spike is well-centered between the other two spikes. You now have set the optimum focus for your instrument. It is just that easy!
