MallinCam Digital View Finder (DVF)

The New MallinCam  DVF is a special Digital View Finder compatible with all astronomical video ccd cameras.  It includes a 3.5 inch 800X480 pixels LCD LED High Resolution screen that allows you to operate a MallinCam Video CCD camera just like an eyepiece, in full color. The MallinCam DVF will enhance the stability, give you better resolution, and allow you to get your eye where it most comfortably needs to be.  The additional HDMI loop output also enables you to connect a signal cable out to a third field monitor or projector.

The included lens assembly allows you to comfortably focus your eye on the view finder's screen while blocking external light. Ideal for solar observing through a Solar Scope in the day time.  The main viewfinder optical section can be lifted allowing the 3.5" high resolution monitor to be observed directly.  Ideal for star parties where monitor glow can bother other observers. Can be tilted for comfort while observing.  The Viewer optical assembly can be hinged up out of the way and held with built-in magnetic holders, allowing a direct view of the 3.5" high resolution monitor screen.  Complete view finder assembly can also be removed entirely, allowing monitor use only.

Note that the DVF alone accepts only a standard HDMI input.  To connect to a camera with S-video or Composite video output you will require the HDMI Upscaler by MallinCam as well, available for separate purchase.
