This eyepiece provides medium-power magnification, perfect for those observations when you want to see a larger FOV than with the shorter focal length E.P. See "the whole picture" with Ultima Edge eyepieces from Celestron. These flat-field eyepieces were designed to provide an ultra-sharp, ultra-clear, crisp image from the center all the way to the edge of the field of view. The 18 mm Ultima Edge eyepiece features fully multi-coated optics and an 8-element lens design, providing optimum light transmission.

The Celestron Ultima Edge 18 mm Flat Field 1.25" Eyepiece uses a main housing which is machined from high grade aluminum with a black anodized outer surface. Its 1.25" mounting barrel is internally threaded to accept standard 1.25" filters and adapters. It is compatible with most 1.25” star diagonals and focusers. On the exterior, Celestron has included a uniquely designed, molded rubber Grip Ring for non-slip handling during observing sessions, even if you wearing gloves in colder weather. Observing with the 18 mm Ultima Edge eyepiece is comfortable for both eyeglass wearers and non-eyeglass wearers, because of the inclusion of a convenient fold-down rubber Eyecups and also the long 20 mm eye relief.

Spend more time observing with your telescope and less time focusing! When you buy more than one Ultima Edge eyepiece, you can switch between them without refocusing thanks to their parfocal design. With a set of Ultima Edge eyepieces in your kit, (except for the 24 mm) you'll be able to enjoy a wide range of high and low power views—and switch between them easily.

NOTE: The Ultima Edge 24 mm eyepiece is Not parfocal with the rest of the models in this Ultima Edge line.

Specifications:

Barrel Size Diameter:

1.25" (31.75 mm)

Focal Length:

18 mm (0.71")

Field Stop Diameter:

23.4 mm (0.93")

Apparent Field of View:

65°

Optical Design:

Proprietary - Ultima Edge

Number of Lens Elements:

8

Number of Lens Groups:

5

Optical Coatings:

Fully Multi Coated

Eye Relief:

20 mm (0.78")

Parfocal:

Yes

Filter Threads:

1.25" (M28.5X0.6)

Eye Guard:

Yes- roll up

Body Material:

Aluminum

Weight:

7.4 oz (209.7 g)

Dimensions:

81 mm x 51 mm x 51 mm (3.19" x 2" x 2")

Celestron Product Number:

93452

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0851/2766/products/93452_18mm_Ultima_Edge_Eyepiece_01_570x380_3x_57378fa1-19c7-4213-a3ce-3a759630ba14.jpg?v=1776459043
