Condition notes: Optics clean. Light scuffing on the gold Celestron band and normal wear to the wrinkle-finish paint and case, consistent with age. See photos.

About the Original Celestron C90

Introduced in the late 1970s at around  the C90 was the entry point to Celestron's catadioptric line alongside the C5, C8, C11 and C14. Unlike those Schmidt-Cassegrains, the C90 is a Maksutov-Cassegrain, giving sharp, high-contrast views in a very short, all-metal tube.

This is the original USA-made version, not the later Chinese-made reissue. Focus is by rotating the knurled barrel, like a telephoto lens.

Two Instruments in One

Telescope: Fit the diagonal and eyepiece for the Moon, planets, double stars and terrestrial viewing. The 18mm Kellner gives about 56x.

1000mm f/11 Mirror Lens: Add a T-ring for your camera body to the included T-Adaptor and the C90 becomes a compact 1000mm telephoto for the Moon, wildlife and distant subjects.
