The scope comes with a factory installed vixen style mount for astro mounts, but is also tapped for use with a photo tripod providing the ultimate in flexibility. The unit provides tack sharp images and is great for lunar and planetary viewing. For astro use, I replaced the 45 degree prism with a 90 degree optional star diagonal to maximize performance. The scope is so light that when mounted to my photo tripod and video head, I can carry the whole set up outside in one trip. 90mm aperture provides enough light gathering for planetary and lunar viewing while keeping cool down time to a minimum."

Celestron C90 MAK Spotting Scope Specifications...

Optical Design: Maksutov-Cassegrain

Aperture (mm): 90 mm (3.54 in)

Focal Length (mm): 1250 mm (49 in)

Focal Ratio: 14

Angle: 0 or 45 degrees

Eyepiece 1 (mm): 32 mm (1.26 in)

Magnification 1: 39 x

Finderscope: 8x21

Carrying Case: Backpack made of nylon

Highest Useful Magnification: 213 x

Lowest Useful Magnification: 13 x

Limiting Stellar Magnitude: 12.3

Resolution (Rayleigh): 1.55 arc seconds

Resolution (Dawes): 1.29 arc seconds

Light Gathering Power (Compared to human eye): 165 x

Angular Field of View (deg): 1.3 degrees

Linear Field of View (@1000 yds): 68 ft (21 m)

Linear Field of View (@1000 m): 23 m (75 ft)

Eye Relief (mm): 20 mm (0.79 in)

Near Focus (Binoculars): 15 ft (4.57 m)

Optical Coatings: Multi-Coated

Optical Tube Length: 16 in (406 mm)

Weight (lbs): 5 lbs (2.27 kg)

Camera Adaptable: Optional T-Adapter

Tripod Adaptable: Yes

Celestron Product Number: 52268
