Many ready made filters do stretch the filter material like a drumhead in order to make it look like a piece of glass – this absolutely destroys the image quality, rendering the film useless for high magnification work. AstroSolar must be mounted entirely stress free in order to perform like a high precision flat window. It sounds like a contradiction with traditional perception of quality, but AstroSolar must show slight ripples! With this specially designed mounting, the Baader AstroSolar Telescope Filter with Optical Density of 5.0 provides exceptional optical imagery. In fact, after 15 years of offering AstroSolar film sheets as a DIY-product, this system of Baader Solar Filters™ is designed to retain the true optical quality of the diffraction-limited AstroSolar Safety Film, even used at high magnifications.

Specifications:

FILTER SIZE

50 mm

MANUFACTURER

Baader Planetarium

SKU (#)

2459335

USAGE

Visual solar observation and imaging

ASTROSOLAR FILM

AstroSolar Safety Film

OPTICAL DENSITY

5.0

INNER DIAMETER / CLEAR APERTURE (MM)

50

OUTER DIAMETER

110

FILTER MOUNTED?

Yes

OUTER CLAMPING RANGE (13MM BOLTS)

55 – 70

INNER CLAMPING RANGE (13MM BOLTS)

81 – 96

SOLAR WAVELENGTH

White light

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0851/2766/products/1_bd48590b-1cf3-453c-b202-ad7ecb475ece.png?v=1776459216
https://khanscope.com/en-fr/products/baader-astrosolar-spotting-scope-filter-50mm-for-40-60mm-spotter-assf-50
