That's right, you do not need to add an expensive flattener to the Askar 65PHQ, it is already ready to go for full frame imaging! The optical design is air-spaced and produces a 44mm image circle so you can use larger full frame sensors without vignetting. Of course, the Askar 65PHQ is also great for smaller APS sensors as well, and it even performs well visually with the addition of a diagonal. Not all astrographs on the market can come to focus when used visually, so this is a real bonus! Use your 65PHQ as a spotting scope, a long lens for terrestrial photography, solar work (with the proper filters in place), nighttime visual work, or astrophotography!

About the Focuser, OTA & Accessories

The Askar 65PHQ comes with a nice big 2.5" dual speed rack & pinion focuser with 1:10 fine focus adjustment. The focuser is capable of rotating 360-degrees so you can frame your image as you like, and there is a scale on the drawtube so you can achieve repeatable focus. This refractor telescope has a focal length of 416 mm and a focal ratio of f/6.4. The OTA is CNC-machined, painted white, and has green trim...it is a very nice looking optical instrument!

Also included in the 65PHQ package is a pair of tube rings, a handle for easy transport and mounting, a 300 mm Vixen-style dovetail, a set of three photographic adapters, a finder base (finder and bracket sold separately) and an instruction manual.

65PHQ Specifications

Aperture: 65 mm

Focal Length: 416 mm

Focal Ratio: f/6.4

Objective Lens: Quintuplet air-spaced APO

Image Circle: 44 mm

Length with Dew Shield Retracted & Eyepiece Holder: 328 mm

Length with Dew Shield Extended & Eyepiece Holder: 388 mm

Length with Dew Shield Retracted & 3-Piece Adapter: 360 mm

Length with Dew Shield Extended & 3-Piee Adapter: 420 mm

OTA Weight: 2kg

OTA & Included Accessories Weight: 2.8kg

Rear End Thread Type: M68x1 - M54x0.75, M54x0.75 - M54x0.75, and M54x0.75 - M48x0.75 (with 2" filter thread inside)

Rear End of 3-Piece Photographic Adapters: M48x0.75

Maximum Additional Accessory Length for Imaging
with Focuser Fully Retracted

From base of M48x0.75 Male Thread: 76 mm

From base of M54x0.75 Male Thread: 105 mm

From base of M68x1 Male Thread: 130 mm

Maximum Additional Accessory Length for Observing
with Focuser Fully Retracted

From base of 2" Eyepiece Holder: 121 mm

https://khanscope.com/en-fr/products/askar-65phq-f6-4-quintuplet-air-spaced-astrograph-with-green-trim-65phq-grn
