About the TeleVue Long SCT Adapter...

Have you ever wished you could use a conventional star diagonal with your SCT telescope? Folks with multiple telescopes don't always want to have multiple diagonals, so Televue decided to create an adapter that will allow you to use a refractor/reflector style prism diagonal with your SCT - the Televue Long SCT Adapter .

 

Precision threaded to match your SCT's rear cell threads, the Televue Long SCT Adapter employs a non-marring brass compression ring to hold your diagonal in place and a "never lost" captive set screw.

 

NOTE: With some telescopes and diagonal combinations, the length of this adapter may allow the diagonal to contact the drive base when the OTA slews through the forks or at the zenith. As a rule, the Televue Long SCT Adapter will need approximately 7" of clearance between the rear cell of your Schmidt-Cassegrain and the tallest point on your telescope drive base. For use with all TV 2" diagonals except the new "Short" Everbrite Diagonal, which takes the matching Short SCT Adapter (ACS-0004).
