About the Celestron Omni XLT 150 R - 6" Refractor Telescope w/German Equatorial Mount...
The new Celestron Omni XLT Series features refractor, reflector and Schmidt-Cassegrain optical designs coupled with the new Celestron Omni CG-4 Heavy-duty German Equatorial Mount and sturdy tripod featuring 1.75" stainless steel legs and center tray for superior rigidity and vibration dampening. Along with the stable platform of the CG-4 mount the Omni XLT telescope series features high quality optics. Using aspheric shaping technology in conjunction with hand-figuring the optics the Omni XLT presents an image with virtually no spherical abberation. Celestron has also added their famous StarBright XLT coating system to further enhance light transmission.
At the heart of the Celestron Omni 150 R XLT is a high quality refractor telescope with hand chosen lens for absolutely the best optics available. We'''re talking about 6" aperture with a limiting stellar magnitude of 13.4 and 0.77 arc seconds of resolving power. Couple that with a 750mm focal length and focal ratio of f/5 an you'''ll get an image with virtually no spherical abberation. With superior optics and a stable platform the Celestron Omni XLT series is a great choice for astrophotography. Use the optional dual-axis motor drive (#93522) and polar axis finder (#94221) to track objects for long exposure photography.
The Omni XLT 150 R - 6" Refractor Telescope w/German Equatorial Mount comes backed with a two year Celestron warranty and will endure as long as your fascination with the Cosmos!
