Hello {!firstname}

Halifax, Nova Scotia

A lovely port city, that also happens to be the home of  the Alexander Keith brewery.

It's been many years since I was last here, so I will definitely have to take a tour
of the local Keith's beer distillery.

Now lest you might be getting the mistaken  impression that I drink a lot of beer,
I really don't.

And in fact, I am in Halifax to attend the RASC annual General assembly the theme
being "Stars by the Sea".  (Not beer by the Sea, though if you met some of these guys
you might think otherwise).

It should be an interesting few days here, with some interesting papers, talks and
presentations and annual general meeting.

So how does Irish Spring fit into all of this?

Well simple.

I had an early morning flight, and not being a morning person I was much like a zombie
putting some last minute things into my suitcase, before the ride to the airport showed up.

As a general rule, I don't put liquid soap into my suitcase, because of the way the airlines
generally handle luggage.  ie toss it off the plane on to the bag carriers.

Somehow, I managed to break that rule for this trip, and put a new bottle of the stuff
into the separate compartment for toiletries in my suitcase.

You can probably guess the rest:

Yup! The bottle split in two.

Miraculously, the Ziploc bag that I put it in, didn't split, but the whole thing
was one big awful mess!

Live and learn.
