Hello {!firstname},

       Meadotron,  Celestmead?

This was all a possibility a over a decade ago, when Meade Instruments wanted to buy Celestron.

Fortunately, The federal trade commission  (FTC) voted 5-0 to stop this from happening.

Back then, Meade Instruments had filed a lawsuit against Celestron for infringing on their patents.

It kept the lawyers busy and happy, and was a financial cash drain on
both companies.

In fact, it almost caused Celestron at that time to go bankrupt, due to the high legal costs.

(note: they did not hire Johnny Carson's lawyer, "Bombastic Bushkin", possibly an error in judgement at the time, just sayin'....)

The history of the telescope manufacturing business, is fascinating, and I've been in the industry for well over 30 years now.

And it continues to grow and evolve.

We are fortunate today as amateur astronomers to have so many great choices!

Did you know,Back in the 70's, you had to pay close to over $3000 in todays dollars, to buy a very basic non computerized 8" Schmidt Cassegrain?

Today, you can buy a very much improved version of that telescope, fully computerized for around $1300.

And right now, we are offering to you, at pretty well US Par, (despite the heavily weakened Canadian dollar), for a very
short time period,  several Celestron telescope models, and prices you are not going to see again, for quite some time.

{!firstname},Here is the deal, and it's the best deal ever right now:

AND  if you are kicking yourself for missing out on this promotion when we ran it
recently, well here is another short window of opportunity to redeem yourself. I often talk about how the Celestron NexStar Series of telescopes are the best
bang for your buck: And the reason is simple. They offer an excellent assortment of sizes from Nexstar 4 se on sale, 5" Nexstar 5 se on sale ,6" Nexstar SE on Sale and 8" Nexstar SE on sale. And right now, despite the highly weakened Canadian dollar, we are giving you
another opportunity to save a whopping 10% on these quality instruments.

Just to be clear, this opportunity window will not last long, and it's only on our existing stock.

When that's gone, the party's over.

My best advice is to act now!

Clear Skies,

Ray "US at PAR" Khan

PS I watched some of the Oscars last night, and tuned out when the movie siren of the 60's, "Kim Novak" came onstage.       it was mostly boring, 'cept for the pizza delivery part perhaps.  And don't forget to watch Toronto Mayor Rob Ford, on Jimmie
Kimmel tonite. You never know what's gonna come out of his mouth!  (Ford, not Kimmel).
